This multi-award-winning quartet are the current rising stars on the String Quartet scene, following closely in the footsteps of the brilliant Piatti Quartet that opened our Jubilee season. They have performed in the most prestigious venues across the UK, as well as performing internationally in several European countries.

In September 2009, Russian pianist Sofya won the Leeds International Piano Competition- the first woman ever to achieve this distinction. Since then she has appeared all over the world to great acclaim. She comes to us via the Barbican in London: she leaves us to play at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. Some sandwich!

When last here, Classic Rhythm 'went down a storm'. Playing a vast array of instruments, Chris Brannick (percussion) is a legend in his own lifetime; Adrian Sutcliffe is a fine pianist and a highly gifted arranger; Helen O'Connell (flute) is a highly talented bundle of fun: a special, versatile and very musical group.
