Noriko has achieved considerable renown throughout the world following her success at the Leeds Piano Competition. She appears with all major European, Japanese and US orchestras and has performed at the BBC Proms. Noriko regularly judges for BBC Young Musician and other major competitions and records extensively. She presents a stunning programme and ‘Curtain raiser’ to the new season. Programme to include: Schumann Kinderszenen Op. 15 Beethoven Piano Sonata No. 23 in F minor Op. 57 “Appassionata” Debussy Arabesque No. 1 Clair de Lune La Cathédrale Engloutie Chopin Grande valse brillante in Eb major Op.18 Ballade No.1 in G minor, Op.23 

Noriko Ogawa internationally respected pianist, recording artist, presenter, educator and artistic adviser to MUZA Kawasaki Symphony Hall. Winner of the third prize in the 1987  Leeds International Piano Competition. Now London based she  is a professor at Guildhall School of Music and Drama Noriko.  She founded Jamie’s Concerts a series for autistic children and parents and is a Cultural Ambassador for the National Autistic Society.


Ms Ogawa opens our 2018/2019 season in October.
